Baby Clothing Extenders

When frugal mum Olga Imbriano realised her baby Sofia was growing out of the dozens of barely-worn bodysuits she’d stocked the nursery with, she set to work finding a solution. But the handful of garment extenders available online were either overseas or priced more than a brand new three-button bodysuit from Kmart or Big W. That’s when she had the idea to create her own Vest Extender, which attaches to the existing poppers on a standard baby vest and adds 4 inches (10cm) to its length. Not only does the clever extender increase the size of a vest for cloth nappies, but it also helps prevent compression leaks from tight vests.

She called her invention Snap & Extend, and since its launch last year she’s sold thousands of the extenders from her home studio on the two days her daughter Sofia is in childcare.
